Dawn of a Darker Age

Following a string of mass disappearances and a surge in criminal activity, warnings of a great evil resurfacing have started to spread between realms. Whilst the identity of the malefactor is unknown, it is evident the threat against good is large and imminent. With one of the greatest evils resurfacing, will anyone be prepared to stop them, and if so, could they already be too late?

Army of Dusk
A dark cloud descended upon Donesque in the form of Suhaila Campbell, who after a confrontational exchange with a training blacksmith and warrior, sliced a piece of his skin and told him she'd be in touch. Similarly, on Earth a powerful Mitsune was also recruited in the same way, with the understanding that the dawn of a darker age is upon them. The question remains, who is this dark force, and what exactly are their intentions?

Internuncio has risen...
Sunshine has been more prevalent on both Earth and Donesque as of late. Magical creatures of all sorts would naturally know this was not normal. It was not a drought, but a kiss on the skin. A loving gesture. But it was the advent of something... Something powerful, and something certainly to be cautious of. The whispers travel through the magical realm of 'She'. For She comes. For She exists....

A Calamity Comes
Mother Nature Herself has appeared before two beings in the human realm, although most if not all mortals were not aware of such. She had announced that a being of great power was amassing more power -- power that could bring the realms of reality to its knees. Power that should not be. Upon announcing that everyone should pick their path to achieve and maintain balance in the worlds, She unleashed a storm to emphasize her point, and shortly disappeared afterwards....

A conversation, and a warning
A young woman rested in the park, tending to the birds and nature as she always had. And then did appear one Titus Ark, asking her questions about her and who she was. After a conversation did the red-headed woman warn that he -- and all other magical creatures -- must make wise decisions regarding the impending calamity. And that their decisions can affect the very status of balance in the world...

While the cog turns...
As the greatest evil known to man continues to do whatever in shadows, preparing and harnessing its power, Padeva continues to gather willing -- and perhaps unwilling -- souls who all have a role to play in, perhaps, the greatest battle in the history of the All. Padeva continues to be stentorian in her efforts to let everyone know that all must play a part in defending and maintaining balance, choosing whatever path truly calls to them, and never kneeling to imbalance. But she also warns, to two individuals -- Mark and Oaklyn -- that, despite this imbalance's threat needs to be vanquished, they must not fight it. At least not alone... Furthermore, she hopes that They will rise... The greatest force of Good. But will they? And when?

... An ultimatum forms...
Once more does Titus meet a mysterious being, the same as before. A being which harrowed him, humiliated him that fateful night. An ultimatum is given: prove his loyalty and genuflect before him by sacrificing an innocent, good life. Will Titus go through with this command? Or will he find a way to finally tear free from his chains?

... And heed Mother Nature's scorn.
After escaping the strange being and mauling lives under a full-shift, Titus finds himself at the beach with two familiar faces: Mark, the police officer, and Padeva, Mother Nature's internuncio. After a brief conversation, Padeva sees fit to transport the party to Hethalone itself to discuss this mysterious evil's ultimatum for Titus. Mother Nature Herself intercedes, telling Titus to go through with it. And She once again makes it very clear: if this imbalance is not dealt with, then She promises that nothing shall survive.

Another to the fray.
All had been quiet for a time, yet Mother Nature was still making Her rounds, alerting all manner of magical creature -- evil, good or somewhere in between alike -- of the impending imbalance. The creature -- still largely unknown -- had been silent as well, festering in the background, growing...

Meanwhile, Padeva was once again on Earth, where she meets one Wais Echlon. There, she warns him of his role in the greatest battle all of creation would see.

Yet he was adamant in wanting no part in it. As such, Mother Nature took control of Padeva, and warned him that if he did not play his role, all of creation would be doomed to reset...

A worrying climate
Recent reports from various news outlets on Earth -- in virtually all languages -- have reported strange advancements in climate change. Scientists and meteorologists are extremely confused, unsure as to why climate change has begun to advance more rapidly. Landslides have been happening more frequently, blizzards have been seemingly conjured where there have never been any, and riptides and harsh currents have stricken fear in the heartiest of seafarers. The days have also gotten a bit harder... And these events have only recently begun in the world.

What could it all mean? Could this be a consequence of the imbalance that so many magical creatures have heard of?

A worrying climate, pt. 2
Various events continue to happen in the world, and civilization itself worries more and more each day as their very planet begins to turn on them more than before. Earthquakes have plagued small countries with punity, and whole tsunamis have targetted small islands multiple times. The heat continues to rise and the climate only worsens as each day passes

And in the shadows, the mysterious being -- unknown as the Duskvale Descendant -- continues to make his strides in pursuit of ultimate power. Is he this great imbalance? And what does he want with the Oceanid Essence from the Oceanids? And just what will happen when Maddox, his new puppet, finds the internuncio for Mother Nature? And who is this Kaitlyn, and what plans could this mysterious sorcerer have in store for the young witch?

In the midst of chaos, another life was taken by the still unknown Duskvale Descendant, Draven Dominico. A young sorceress, Brianna, lost her life. Things continue to unfold... And it seems that the Descendant grows ever more brazen.

Providence comes
Mother Nature continues to make her strides to complete the circle of life and restart it anew on Earth. Now, she has announced to the magical creatures of Utopia -- under the guise of a thunderstorm and earthquake -- that the end was nigh. And if they did not do anything to combat the growing imbalance in the horizon, they would not live to see their futures.

Meanwhile, Draven Dominico -- the yet unknown Duskvale Descendant, and the possible source of this imbalance -- makes his own strides. Found by utter happenstance, the cosmic forces and concept of Evil allowed him to find a powerful artifact that could spell doom for Mother Nature herself...

Would this spell doom for Mother Nature's plans? And would Draven become the unlikely hero of this story, only to continue being its greatest villain?

Showdown
Draven's reign of terror continues to spread at an alarming rate, his devious antics growing increasingly heinous. In a recent turn of events, Draven and Kaitlyn came to blows once more, resulting in both becoming wounded. Whilst the battle remains far from over, Kaitlyn has pledged herself to facilitating Draven's demise before his killing spree continues. Will she be successful, or will she too fall victim to his cunning ways?

The Death of a Sister
Draven's dark plans have been propelled into motion, having built an army of evil-doers, he readied his initial strike on the forces of good. Targetting the Lewis James household, he would strike first at Kaitlyn and then at her sister Verity. Both sisters worked with one another to fend him off, but as his attacks grew stronger, they grew weaker, ultimately resulting in Verity being vanquished before her sister's very eyes. Draven, having killed one of the four Lewis James sisters would count his blessings and escape, leaving Kaitlyn with a vengeful anger that could be his very undoing. With Draven growing opposition and his recent actions igniting an unfathomable rage in Kaitlyn, are his days numbered, or will he continue to be successful?

Changing Motives
Eliza Hawthorne had been working with Kaitlyn against Draven for many months now and the pair had grown close. However, it was ultimately revealed that in recent weeks, she had formed a romantic affiliation with their very enemy. Falling senseless to Draven's charm, Eliza was now working against her friend and the pair were panning out to be the greatest villainous duo known to man. But with Draven's mission to reignite an old flame, is Eliza about to be burnt?
